MCP connectors let Matik's AI pull live information from the other tools your team already uses. Once a connector is enabled and you have connected your account, Matik Insights Dynamic Content and the Matik AI Agent can reach into those tools while they work, so a narrative can reference what was actually said on a call or what a ticket's status is today.

Supported MCP Servers
Matik ships with a set of built in MCP servers. An Admin turns on the ones your enterprise should have, and each person connects their own account to them.

Custom MCP Servers
If the tool you want is not on the list, an Admin can add another MCP server by URL. The server has to be reachable from the public internet over https://.
Note: Add custom servers with care. A custom server's tools are handed directly to the AI model along with your access token, and Matik cannot vet what those tools do or what data they return. Only add servers your organization runs or trusts, and confirm the URL with whoever operates the server before you enter it.
Enabling MCP Servers (Admins)
Enabling a server makes it available to everyone in your enterprise. It does not connect anyone. Each person still connects their own account, and only ever sees the data their own account can see.
Enabling a Built In Server
- Go to Enterprise Settings and open the AI tab.
- Find the MCP Server Integrations card.
- Toggle on the server you want to make available.
Your users can now connect to it from their profile. Toggling a built in server back off removes it for everyone.
Adding a Custom Server
Custom servers are turned off for every enterprise by default. To add one:
- In the MCP Server Integrations card, turn on Custom servers.
- Click Add MCP Server.
- Fill in the fields below, then click Add.

Name: How the server appears throughout Matik, for example
Acme Internal. Matik stores a simplified version of this name behind the scenes, so it must contain at least one letter or number. -
Server URL: The server's MCP endpoint. It must be a publicly reachable
https://URL, for examplehttps://mcp.example.com/mcp. - Client ID and Client Secret: Optional. Fill these in if you have already registered Matik as an application with the server. Leave both blank and Matik registers itself automatically. Enter both or neither.
Matik contacts the server as soon as you click Add to discover how to sign in. If the URL is wrong or the server is unreachable, you will see an error and nothing is saved. Custom servers appear in the list with a Custom tag.
Removing a Server
Note: A custom server has no on and off toggle. Removing it is the only way to turn it off, and removing it disconnects every user who was connected to it. Any Insights Dynamic Content that relied on it stops using it.
Connecting to an MCP Server
Every person connects their own account. Your connection uses your own permissions in the connected tool, so Matik never surfaces anything you could not already see there.
- Click your name in the bottom left, then go to your profile.
- Open the Connections tab.
- Find the MCP Connections card. It lists every server your Admin has enabled.
- Click Connect on the server you want. A sign in window opens.
- Sign in to that tool and approve the access it asks for. The window closes and the server shows as connected.
If the card says no MCP servers have been enabled by your administrator, ask your Admin to turn one on first.
To disconnect, open the menu next to a connected server and choose Disconnect. This removes your connection only, and does not affect anyone else.
Using Connectors in Insights Dynamic Content
Connectors are available on the Free Prompt tab of Matik Insights Dynamic Content.
- Create or open a Matik Insights Dynamic Content and select the Free Prompt tab.
- Write your prompt as usual. You can include Dynamic Content and Inputs.
- Below the prompt, click Add Connector and pick a server. It appears as a tag under the prompt.
- Add more connectors if the prompt needs more than one source, then test the content.
The menu only lists servers you have connected. If Add Connector is greyed out, either you have not connected any servers yet, or you have already added all the ones you have.
Write the prompt so it says what to go get. A prompt like Summarize the last quarter's calls for &:account_name and pull out the top three objections gives the AI something to act on. A prompt that only describes a format leaves the connector unused.
Note: Connectors resolve against the connection of whoever runs the content. If that person has not connected the server, or their sign in to that tool has expired, the connector is skipped and the prompt runs without it. There is no error message. The content still generates, using only the data in the prompt. This matters most for content other people generate, so confirm with your team that everyone who needs a connector has connected it.
Using Connectors in the AI Agent
In the AI Agent, you choose which connectors the Agent may use, and that choice applies to the conversation you are in.
- Open the AI Agent and click the connector icon in the message box.
- Toggle on the servers you want the Agent to use.
- Ask your question. The Agent uses those servers while it works.
You can turn connectors on and off at any point in a conversation. A change applies to the messages you send after it, so you can bring a server in partway through and take it back out once you have what you need. Manage Connectors at the bottom of the menu takes you to your profile to connect a new server.
Turning a connector off here does not disconnect your account. It tells the Agent not to use that server. Connectors start off in every new conversation.
Limitations
- Insights Dynamic Content only. Connectors work on the Free Prompt tab of Matik Insights Dynamic Content. Other Dynamic Content types do not use them.
- A skipped connector is silent. If the person running the content has not connected the server, the prompt runs without it and reports no error.
- Connections are per person. There is no shared or service account connection. Everyone connects individually, and connections cannot be transferred.
- Custom servers cannot be paused. Removing is the only way to turn one off, and it disconnects everyone.

Custom servers must be reachable from the public internet. Matik requires an
https://URL and rejects any address on a private network. A server that is only reachable inside your own network cannot be added. - Connectors add time to a run. A prompt that reaches out to another tool takes longer than one that does not, and that time adds up across a bulk generation.
