Matik now includes both in-app and email notifications to keep you updated on what is happening with your templates and end-user presentation generations.
In-App Notifications
Matik notifications will appear when a template is shared with you or when one of your templates has warnings occur or fails to generate a presentation. Note that as an admin template editor, you will receive a notification regardless of who generated the presentation.
You can access notifications by clicking on the bell icon on the top right of Matik’s menu bar.
Shared Template Notifications
When a template is shared with you, you will receive a notification. Simply click on view to view that template.
Presentation Generated with Warnings and Failed Presentations
Warnings in Matik are when a presentation generates and errors occur within the Dynamic Content or other elements of that presentation. When this occurs, the tag of the dynamic content that experienced an error will not populate.
Failed presentation generations occur when a critical error prevents the presentation from being generated.
Admins will receive notifications for all templates you have edit access to. Clicking review on a notification will bring you to the Presentations tab.
Select the presentations with errors or fails (indicated by the red !) under status to review.
On the presentation screen, click on “Review Details”.
Matik will display all of the warnings and errors that occurred while generating that presentation. Note that most of these error messages are passed through from your data source. Feel free to reach out to support@matik.io with any questions about the error messages you have received.
Once you have resolved the issue(s) with your template or dynamic content, we recommend regenerating the presentation with the specific inputs that caused it to fail to ensure all issues have been resolved. This can be easily accomplished by clicking on the “Regenerate” button on the presentation page.
Email Notifications
Matik will also send email notifications when new templates are shared with you or when a template you are an editor of is generated with errors or fails.
Warning and error email notifications are bundled into one email and sent out 24-36 hours after the first warning or error occurs.
You can turn off email notifications by clicking on your profile in the top right corner of Matik and going to “Account Settings”. Click on the Notifications Tab and select your preferred settings. Deselect “Allow all email notifications” to turn off all email notifications or deselect “Access Changed” or “Presentation Errors” to disable specific notification types.
