You can add charts and tables to your Matik Mail templates when creating mail through the visual editor for mail templates. See Creating Matik Mail Templates for details on how to get started.
Once the email is finalized, these dynamic tables will be rendered as HTML tables, providing a seamless and polished presentation.
Adding a Table:
- Drag and drop the Table module onto the visual builder canvas. (Tip: The table can also be placed within a column module if preferred.)
- To begin configuring the table's styling, first select the dynamic content that will populate the table. (Only Table-type dynamic content is compatible with this feature.)
- Once you’ve selected dynamic content, we’ll display a placeholder table. If you like, you can start editing the table formatting now
At any time, you can preview the dynamic content table, to see how the table will look with your actual data. To do this:
- Select the table module, and click the Play button.
- You’ll be prompted to enter any inputs required by your dynamic content.
- Then, we’ll run your dynamic content. (If you need to cancel the preview for some reason, click the play button again to stop the process.)
- Once complete, we’ll update the table to show the results of your table dynamic content.
As soon as you’ve connected dynamic content, you’re able to edit the styling of the table. You can edit the styling even without running your dynamic content, while viewing the placeholder table. In either case, we’ll preserve your styling selections.
You can control the personalization of:
- The table body
- The table header row (if a header row is enabled)
- The table header column (if a header column is enabled)
To edit the personalization of your table:
- Select the table module
- Configure table styling using the options displayed in the sidebar on the left. You can control:
- Settings for the overall table
- The table header row (if enabled)
- The table header column (if enabled)
- The table body
- The table preview shown on the visual builder canvas will update live as you make your selections.
Dynamic Charts
The Visual Builder offers complete control over the chart's styling, allowing for customization to align with brand guidelines or specific presentation needs. Once configured, the chart will be included as an image in the final email, ensuring it appears consistently across all devices and email clients.
This feature is designed to elevate the visual impact of communications by incorporating dynamic, data-driven charts directly within email content.
To add a dynamic chart:
- Drag and drop a Chart module onto the visual builder canvas. (Tip: you can place a chart within a column module if desired!)
- In order to start configuring the chart styling, you must first select the dynamic content to power the chart. (Only Chart-type dynamic content can be used here).
- Then, select the chart type. The current charts supported are:
- Column charts (stacked, 100%, and not stacked)
- Bar charts (stacked, 100%, and not stacked)
- Line charts
- Area charts (stacked, 100%, and not stacked)
- Pie charts
- Donut charts
The dynamic content chart can be previewed at any time to visualize how it will appear with actual data. To do this:
- Select the chart module, and click the Play button.
- You’ll be prompted to enter any inputs required by your dynamic content.
- Then, we’ll run your dynamic content. (If you need to cancel the preview for some reason, click the play button again to stop the process.)
- Once complete, we’ll update the chart based on the results of your chart dynamic content.
Once the dynamic content is connected, the chart's styling can be edited immediately. The styling can also be adjusted while viewing the placeholder chart, even before running the dynamic content. In both scenarios, all styling selections will be preserved.
You can control the personalization of:
- The table body
- The table header row (if a header row is enabled)
- The table header column (if a header column is enabled)
To edit the personalization of your chart:
- Select the chart module
