Generation conditions are safeguards you can set to prevent presentations or documents from being created unless they meet specific requirements. These conditions are based on dynamic content within the template.
Generation conditions can apply to presentation or document templates. They are enforced during all generation methods (on-off, bulk, scheduled).
Setting Generation Conditions
To set generate conditions for a presentation or document template, you must have admin access and the ability to edit the template.
- Navigate to the template in Matik
- Go to Generation Settings in the ellipsis menu on the top right
- Go to the Conditions section of Generations Settings
- Define your conditions. Open the ‘Conditions’ tab, where you can define the dynamic content conditions that need to be met before the template can generate content.
Generating Content with Conditions
If a template has active generate conditions, users will be informed by a banner, alerting them that these rules apply.
If conditions are not met, the presentation or document will not be generated. It will appear under the "Presentations" tab with the status: Not Generated. For bulk or scheduled generations, the status will be labeled Not Generated (Conditions) in the summary analytics.
