Enterprise Context for Matik's AI

Enterprise Context for AI is currently in beta. Contact your Technical Account Manager for access.

Enterprise Context lets you define key information about your business — such as your company overview, brand voice, and preferred terminology — in one centralized location. Once configured, Matik's AI features use this context to generate content that is tailored to your organization, without you needing to duplicate the same instructions.

For example, instead of re-entering brand guidelines and company details each time you create a new Insights Dynamic Content, you set it once in your enterprise settings and toggle it on wherever you need it.

Setting Up Enterprise Context

Any Matik admin can configure Enterprise Context. To access the settings, navigate to Enterprise Settings → AI.

Enterprise Context is organized into four categories. You can use whichever combination of categories works best for your enterprise.

  • Company Overview: A short description of your business. Include what your company does, who your customers are, and what makes you unique. This helps the AI frame content around your organization rather than generating generic output.
  • Brand Voice & Tone: Guide the AI's writing style. For example, you might specify that your content should be professional but approachable, avoid jargon, or use short sentences. The AI applies these guidelines when generating text.
  • Preferred Terminology: Specify how certain things should be said. If your organization refers to customers as "partners" or uses "engagement score" instead of "usage metric," list those preferences here so the AI uses your terms consistently.
  • Other: Any additional context or rules for your content. Use this for anything that doesn't fit neatly into the categories above — for example, compliance disclaimers to always include, topics to avoid, or formatting preferences.

Toggle a category on to expand its text field, then type or paste your context. Only categories that are toggled on will be sent to the AI.

When you're finished, click Save. You can come back and edit these fields at any time.

Auto-Populating Context with AI

You don't have to write everything from scratch. Matik can use AI to generate a draft of your enterprise context by reading your company's website or a branding document.

To auto-populate your context fields:

  1. On the Enterprise Context form, click the Populate button in the AI-Powered Context Generation banner at the top of the form.
  2. A modal opens with two tabs: Website URL and File Picker. Choose one.
    • Website URL: Enter the full URL of your company's public website (e.g., https://www.yourcompany.com). The URL must start with https:// and the site must be publicly accessible.
    • File Picker: Select a branding or company document from Google Drive or Microsoft 365. (We currently support parsing Google Doc files or Word docs).
  3. Click Generate Context. Matik's AI reads the source material and populates each enabled category with a suggested draft. A "Thinking" indicator appears while the AI processes your request.
  4. Review the generated text. You can edit any field manually and click Save when you're satisfied.

If you want to regenerate a single field without re-running the entire process, click the Retry tag that appears below any AI-populated field. This re-generates only that category using the same source material.

Enabling Enterprise Context for AI Insights

Once you've configured your enterprise context in settings, you can enable it on individual AI Insights Dynamic Content so the AI uses your context when generating insights.

To enable Enterprise Context on an Insights Dynamic Content:

  1. Open the Dynamic Content form for an AI Insights Dynamic Content.
  2. Find the Enterprise AI Context toggle in the form and switch it to on.
  3. Save the Dynamic Content.

When this toggle is enabled, Matik includes your enterprise context in the AI prompt every time this Dynamic Content runs. When the toggle is off, the Dynamic Content generates insights only accounting for the insights prompt, without any enterprise context applied.

You control this on a per-Dynamic-Content basis, so you can enable it for some Insights Dynamic Content and leave it off for others.

Best Practices

  • Be specific and concise: The AI performs best with clear, direct instructions. Instead of writing "we want a friendly tone," try "use a conversational tone with short sentences, avoid corporate jargon, and address the reader directly."
  • Use the auto-populate as a starting point: The AI-generated context is a first draft. Review and refine it to make sure it captures what matters most to your organization.
  • Only enable the categories you need: If you don't have strong preferences about terminology, leave that category toggled off. Extra context that isn't useful can dilute the instructions the AI focuses on.

Limitations

  • AI Insights only: Enterprise Context currently applies to AI Insights Dynamic Content. Other AI features such as talk tracks and executive summaries are not yet supported.
  • Website scraping requires public access: The URL you provide for auto-populating context must be publicly accessible and start with https://. Internal or intranet sites cannot be scraped. Websites with anti-scraping protections may also block the request.
