Matik allows you to generate many unique presentations, spreadsheets, documents, or emails at once. To enable bulk generation, go to Enterprise Settings in your Admin view. There are two methods for generating in bulk:
- Bulk generate based on an input: best when you want to generate a unique file for each selected value of a given input.
- Bulk generate by uploading a CSV: best when you want to generate a unique file for a specified set of input values you've curated in a CSV.
See below for more more detail on each method.
Note: Each presentation will have a unique name to help differentiate from others (such as “QBR - Account Name: Google.")
Bulk Generated Based on an Input
When you bulk on a given input, Matik will generate a unique version of your content for each selected value of that input.
First, select the input you want to bulk generate on by clicking the "bulk generate" icon.
Then select all the input values you want to generate content for. For example, if you bulk on &:account, and then select 10 different account values, Matik will generate 10 unique copies of the presentation.)
Select Preview Bulk Pack. You will be able to preview a single generation before you commit to proceeding with the entire bulk job.
If all looks good, select Generate to proceed with the full bulk generation.
Limitations and best practices:
- You can only bulk generate on 1 input at time.
- You cannot bulk generate on looped inputs
- If you bulk generate on a multi-select input:
- Matik will generate a unique copy for each individual value of the multi-select input. For example, say you bulk generate on &:company, which is a multi-select input. You select ['A', 'B']. We will generate 2 presentations, one with &:company = 'A', one with &:company = 'B'.
- However, we will still treat the multi-select input the exact same way, in terms of query syntax, when inserting it into dynamic content.

If you bulk generate on an input that has dependent inputs, Matik will automatically select the first matching value for each dependent input.
